Inga’s cake with apples.

50 g melted margarine
2 eggs
2 deciliter sugar
3 deciliter plain (wheat) flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1 deciliter milk
2 apples, peeled and cut into slices.

Butter and breadcrumb a rectangular cake tin, ca 10x28 cm

In a bowl, sift together flour, baking powder and spices; set aside.
Beat eggs and sugar on high speed until thick and pale.

Add flour mixture, margarine and milk to the egg mixture, mix batter until smooth. Pour the batter into the prepared tin and stick the apple slices into the batter.
Bake in 175°C for 70 minutes, until tester inserted in center comes out clean
